That's a fairly uncharitable perspective. I got the impression that he was simply pointing out the differences (which I thought it was an interesting fact.) Also found the
@mamedev_org response to be an informative explanation. -
MAME (and most other emulators) emulating the filters following any given audio chip is the exception, not the rule. It's as surprising as the sun coming up, and as helpful to point out as a crotch punch.
