One major take-away from trying to record the lines I've written for my opening YouTube channel video on emulation: There's a hell of a lot of difference between what looks good when written, and what sounds good when said.

Seriously, I do appreciate the advice. Writing something while reading it aloud is something that's never occurred to me. I tend to write things while reading it in my inner monologue, which as it happens, has more lung capacity than I do.
