My counter-argument is that while it's not possible to ship the Abbey Road reverb chamber in a cartridge, you did the best possible, and the intention of a deeper reverb was there. What's your take, as the original composer?
I tried to make everything sound as nice as possible with the tools & hardware I had. Even pro digital reverbs sounded fairly basic 25+ years ago. If I could have used Valhalla dsp algorithms for the fx - I would have - but that simply wasn't an option.
