I don't get why there's so much Trekkie hate for Voyager. Does it have a bunch of silly episodes? Sure. Does it take itself less seriously than most other series? Absolutely. Does it have a strong female captain who takes zero shit from anyone? Oh HELL yeah.

It's not so bad, honestly. One of the most hardcore Trek-lovers I know loves the heck out of it. Plus it has Robert Fucking Picardo, which makes up for a lot of other things.

One thing I've always wanted to do is wait until the credits of a Star Wars movie or Star Trek episode, then burst into a chorus of the Red Dwarf theme song. Complete with rhythmic clapping.

I've never met anyone who hated Voyager, but I have met people who hate Kes or who believe some of the writing is really, really dumb.

Voyager has a bunch of issues, but it's still fine. I like Janeway a bunch, too. Really, most of the issues I've heard is that it's not as good as DS9 (which I should get around to watching).

Fully half the cast never developed a lick of additional personality after the pilot, and the rest had to carry it to a ludicrous degree as a consequence. Janeway-Seven-Doctor as an ersatz Kirk-Spock-McCoy would have worked better if they'd actually meant it

Wait, Trekkies hate Voyager? I didn't know this. Oh well, glad I'm not a proper Trekkie then, coz Voyage was the best (mainly because it was my childhood star trek but hey).

Not convinced that *all* Trekkies hate Voyager, but the number of times I've heard "Oh, I'm sorry" when I've told people I'm watching Voyager end-to-end with my partner... yeesh.
