What would happen if humans ate catnip? Asking for a friend
Basically nothing. There's some evidence that it can make a fairly relaxing tea, but other than that, the psychoactive compounds in catnip don't affect humans.

The people at the pet store won't know if you have a cat or not. Go for it. As far as I know there's not much evidence that the relaxing effect of catnip tea is anything other than placebo, but I can at least confirm it's not at all toxic to people.
