The first image might look simple but it requires multiple frame buffers to be rendered correctly (due to group opacity). I'm currently using something similar (simpler) to what's described here https://nothings.org/gamedev/compositing_tree/ …

Have you considered using the late Maxim Shemanarev's "Anti-Grain Geometry"? It's the renderer on which the Autodesk Scaleform middleware was based on back in the day.

Tbh, no. The initial idea was to see if my own lib (vg-renderer, which is based on nanovg), can handle arbitrary SVGs. I might look for alternatives if this doesn't end up in the recycle bin (where most of my hobby project end up eventually :))
