Fuck being a "gifted child." It's just an excuse for your parents to have exorbitantly high expectations for you, and if you fail to reach them every single time your world fucking ends.

No shit. I was 'gifted'. It meant that I was obligated to focus on my studies rather than learning to be social. Which, being on the autism spectrum, put me at an enormous disadvantage once I finally got my university degree and started working.
