Mm, same. I do genuinely enjoy talking to people I know even though it's difficult, and even though I enjoy various social video game-related events it does take a lot out of me afterwards. Sometimes my own existence confuses me.
I'm actually beginning to enjoy being social again, but the mental and emotional crash after getting home from an outing really sucks. I'm so glad I lost the genetic lottery and ended up on the autism spectrum. /s

I can relate, very well.. As draining as it is, personally, I try to focus on the partially wonderful moments being social has given me, and hope that getting to know some people closer will exempt them from me feeling drained by proximity, as they won't be strangers anymore..
