PSA: If your FPGA-based emulator is just based on observation, then unless it exactly replicates all the quirks of the original hardware, it is no more accurate than a software emulator, it's just inaccurate faster

Good info, thank you. I have the Nt mini, and it is pretty righteous. I figured this would meet the standard. Looks like I might be emptying my wallet again in 2020. And, I promise I'll do my research next time.

Analogue describes their Pocket Boy as "not emulation based" on the product page. That annoyed me to no end.

They're not entirely wrong. If their FPGA reimplementations have the Kevtris Seal of Approval™, then they're most likely indistinguishable from real hardware in that you could wire up the FPGA as a replacement. Again, my gripe isn't with Analogue for the most part.
