The wrong medication can cause effects ranging from dissociation to, in my case when I was a kid and tried the wrong meds, massive migraines and nosebleeds. You deserve to have the *right* medication, not the first thing to get doled out by your doctor.
I would advise not continuing the medication. If its effects are causing you mental distress, then stop, because it's not worth it. Being on the autism spectrum myself, it took me a long time to dial in the right medication. *YOU* are your ultimate arbiter, not your therapist.
