Yeah, that's a given. He's done SOME good for the community, but that's not a free pass for the reams of paper worth of behavior that can't be ignored.
cw: nazis The fact that you lead with "He's done SOME good for the community" is part of the problem. At the risk of Godwinning the discussion already, nobody leads off a discussion of Hitler with "Man directly responsible for the Volkswagen". There's a reason for that.

Well, he hasn't gone to _mass murder_. What he's done is definitely a major issue, but there's still a scale difference. It's possible to still talk about the good in passing(*), then move to say "But now we need to deal with the rest because this is not acceptable."
