On the whole "broken coffee machine" topic, the tech said it may be due to "people making multiple failed attempts while it still hadn't finished the process", which absolutely shits me as a UI coder, because what kind of trash UI lets users invoke physically destructive actions?
"due to people making-" Nah, fam. It's due to *your* company's firmware programmers not locking out input when said input can physically damage the machine.
This is why "stupid user" is just plain wrong in most cases

Yeah, that's braindead design and someone at that company should be fired for that. It should have not been possible to pile on tasks onto hung tasks in a way you could do physical damage. Period.
