Even better, I just forgot to back up error.log before restarting MAME. That log file may have contained important info as to why the VINO (Video In, No Out) chip isn't being properly detected. Time to spend another hour and a half installing IRIX 5.3!

Eh, I have to be in the right frame of mind to read schematics. It'll happen, sometime this weekend most likely, but not tonight.
pick the one that seems the most fun or interesting for you personally like, I've got a few things I really should get around to working on, and if I sit and try and figure out which is the most important to work on, I won't get any of them done
Clearly that'd be the SGI stuff since that's what I'm doing, but I'm intending on hopping onto Paintbox stuff *sometime* this weekend, even if it's only to plumb together the virtual edge connectors of the cards that are done so far.
Honestly, as a broadcast engineer, if it was a choice of only one, I would say Paintbox because you're the only person I have seen talk about working on it! But if it's just priorities, I would much rather see the Irix first followed by Paintbox eventually.
