The astute among you should be able to identify the fact that I have taken one HELL of a pay cut to live and work in Sweden, and yet I own my own domicile (albeit with a mortgage) and have more spending cash than I ever did in the US.
So yeah. Just as a tangent, American conservatives can point out the wild tax rate that we have here in Sweden all they want, but at the end of the day I make less and yet somehow have a more fiscally safe and comfortable lifestyle than I ever did in the US.
It's almost as if a society focused on the common good can be as successful, and perhaps more, as one where everyone looks out solely for themselves! Who'd have thunk?
