The astute among you should be able to identify the fact that I have taken one HELL of a pay cut to live and work in Sweden, and yet I own my own domicile (albeit with a mortgage) and have more spending cash than I ever did in the US.
So yeah. Just as a tangent, American conservatives can point out the wild tax rate that we have here in Sweden all they want, but at the end of the day I make less and yet somehow have a more fiscally safe and comfortable lifestyle than I ever did in the US.

In retrospect, it seems like the salary at Mojang was just an outlier. But moreover, I had a somewhat spotty track record of bouncing from company to company when I applied at AH, and to an extent they were taking a gamble on me (one which I hope has paid off!).
