I would have thought the two to be diametrically opposed in the first place, with libertarian views espousing privatizing as much as feasible, and socialist views espousing making as much as feasible publicly owned, but that's none of my business

Not going to lie, that's probably the best way of describing me. My ideal world is where everyone can be provided for, but people who specialize in unusual talents can still be compensated in some fashion.
I think if anything I'm just unfamiliar with the nuances of these various leanings. If that merits an unfollow or whatnot, that's cool, but I do still like your tweets and agree that the ideal world leans more Marxist than capitalist.
