I grew up with some of the food culture, although there's a lot of German and Norwegian mixed in—we'll do lefse at Christmas, krumkake, egg coffee
But as time goes the connection becomes more tenuous. I have Nth cousins in Sweden who I've met and know a bit. Some of the rest of the family has visited (crayfish!), and I've always wanted to, but haven't yet managed it.
