I mean it's fine, I guess, in the long run, if I just keep my dude hat on. But that's not me, and I wonder how much happier I could be as myself, even if the end result with my clothes on is identical.

Truth be told, I've never been enamored with what's going on 'down there', so to speak, for as long as I can remember. I believe in some cultures it's referred to as the 'third gender'.
