While we're talking statistics, did you know that 4% of those executed are later proven to be innocent? I know you folks on the right just love the idea of executing criminals, but I pray that it's never one of your kids who is wrongfully convicted and executed.

Wrongful convictions are the strongest arguments against the death penalty however the issue comes when someone commits a grave crime and the evidence makes it clear cut. At that point depending the crime if the evidence is blatant do they then deserve death?

Thats irrelevant, except for the incongruity of your anti-abortion and pro-death penalty sentiments. It seems all life is sacred but not once born, it's ultimately about control and a faux respect for life.

That's not true. That 4% number is based on a single study, and it reflects death row inmates, not executed subjects. In the US we have a long and complicated series of appeals for capital convictions, including an automatic appeal just for being sentenced to death.

I'm completely against capital punishment, yet I still think that complaining about percentage in a sample size of 5 is completely ridiculous.
