I have no particular dog in this ridiculous political fight, and I try to keep politics off my Twitter feed, but regarding this whole #ASAPRocky thing: Even if you're being verbally harassed, it doesn't excuse getting into a physical altercation. (cont'd)
Additionally, as an American who has *been* in a physical altercation here in Sweden, I can say straight up that if he got arrested and is still being held, that's entirely on him. Unlike American police officers, Swedish police are consummate professionals. (cont'd)

Back in February 2014, I was on the subway going home from seeing The LEGO Movie, when I noticed a guy harassing a woman who wanted nothing to do with him, and was just trying to get away from him, but was otherwise trapped in the same subway car as him. (cont'd)

I tried to intervene and ask if the police needed to be called, but I didn't speak enough Swedish at the time. But when I saw the guy physically slap the woman and push her down into a seat, I'll admit, I saw red. (cont'd)

I then physically grabbed the guy, slam him up against the wall of the train, at which point I started repeatedly punching him in the head until the train came into the station. Now, I am not a boxer, granted, so about the only injury the guy came away with was ignominy. (cont'd)

SL security boarded the subway car at the next stop and asked me what was going on. I pointed the guy out. They went after him; not me. My point? If this dude was in an altercation to the point that he was arrested and is still being held, there's a damn good reason. Fin.
