“Fun” fact. I’ve never been told to go back to where I’ve come from. I’ve been an immigrant in 4 countries (2 of which I became a citizen). But yeah I’m white so it’s ok.

Same here. I was an immigrant to the UK, now I'm an immigrant to the US. I get people moaning to me about "immigrants" before I have to remind them in my London accent that I am one. It's just about skin colour. They're knee-jerk racists and white supremacists.
100% this. I'm an immigrant to Sweden, but because I've taken it upon myself to learn a good bit of the language, people fall over themselves to forgive my myriad grammatical errors. A favour that I'm sure at least some of them would not extend were I not also the right colour.
