Not sure what D.P.RAM is, the floppy is a standard 1.2Mb 8" shugart drive that has an SMD interface so it sits on the same bus as the main hard disk.
Pull IRQ A on the Quantel DPB-7000 at the expected 59.94Hz, instead of not at all, and it springs to life - kind of. I don't know what D.P.RAM is, but it is apparently not okay. Not okay at all, dude.pic.twitter.com/Cra7JThoNp

I'm accessing brain cells not accessed since 1993 but ISTR there was a Disp Proc (DP?) card in some Quantel boxes (or I may just be misremembering) I only did very basic hardware stuff on V-Series Pictureboxes and Henry/Editbox.

What is the pulse length for the IRQ? Do you just assert it, then wait until the 68K driver Acks it? On the Verilog version, I just hooked up that IRQ to a divider output for roughly 50 Hz, but that's probably wrong, as it might have been trying to re-trigger the int.

At the moment, I trigger it for one scanline. Probably not accurate, but since it's a property of hardware external to the Paintbox itself, I would expect it to be fairly robust in terms of pulse lengths that it handles.
