Could be an interesting part, the sequencer card uses a bitslice processor to generate the commands for the SMD disk interface. Do you think you will need to emulate an SMD disk drive as part of the project?
Most likely, yes! I just submitted my initial implementation of the Disk Sequencer Card emulation (plus an Am2910 device implementation) to MAME a couple hours ago. It needs debugging, but meanwhile the monitor now tries to invoke a fast clear of the brush store!

The disk sequencer was pretty simple, with a sector per track. The sector size was, if I recall correctly, 20 k on the earlier disks, and 28 k on the later disks. So there were really only four real commands - seek, select head, read track, and write track.

The directory was on the first few tracks. The metadata was written at the end of each picture (or whatever). So it would write the picture, cutout or what have you, and then read back the last track and write the metadata into it. Is there a 2k ram somewhere? That held the meta
