Ah, congrats! The pear saga finally over
Such a disappointing end to the saga, too. It seems some fix that I thought was unrelated ended up sorting it out.

I would love to, but I'm somewhat at a loss, because I wasn't even explicitly trying to fix the pear. I was instead trying to fix this demo, called Snoop. It would previously just show a grid of single pixels separated by black, rather than the proper "fat bits" view.pic.twitter.com/ci2qY38Uqx
