@DextersLab2013 You wouldn't happen to have a digital copy of any service manual(s) for the Harriet, would you?

No, Quantel never produced any, but i do have extensive knowledge of their workings and am in contact with ex Quantel engineers so should be able to answer any questions.

Thanks for the clarification! This dovetails nicely with my next question: We (the MAME team) are interested in preserving Quantel's units from the 80's and early 90's, and have a dump of the boot monitor ROMs (two chips, 16k each, hi/lo) from a Harriet. But that's it. (cont'd)

As someone who collects, repairs, and helps preserve these beasts, I'm sure you can appreciate that there will eventually come a time when all of the vintage machines are irreparable. But we on the MAME team can't do much with just the boot monitor and no HDD image. (cont'd)

I figured I would reach out to you in that regard. I'm a huge fan of graphics workstations of that era - I've been spending my time recently emulating the Silicon Graphics "Indy" workstation - and I'm confident that emulation of Quantel machines is doable. Thoughts?

I've been asked about a mame emulator for the Paintbox a few times. The older original DPB-7000 might be a better option as we have schematics. But would love to help out with either. Can you DM your email to me and i will explain options my thoughts?
