I have always held up Grumpy Cat as the nightmare alternate timeline for @sockington, a constant barrage and exploitation of a single animal for money and constant changing environments because they looked a certain way.
Sockington sleeps, walks, and purrs to this day, happy
@sockington is also not a cat which was bred to have catastrophic congenital defects, considerably abbreviating his life span, because it's "kyoot" and because people are fucking cruel and stupid.

Basically the owners of Grumpy Cat were exploitative and didn't give a fuck that their cat was literally bred to be literally deformed. Unpopular but accurate opinion.
