Amusingly, I just realized that my IRIX 6.5 install thinks it's running on an Indigo 2, since my logic for which system ID to report via the IOC2 controller is inverted. That's why it's not talking to the Indy's video capture IC. Less amusingly, I now need to reinstall IRIX 6.5.
As an aside for those unfamiliar with SGI machines: The Indy and Indigo 2 have nearly identical hardware. The main electronic differences are that the Indy has a VINO (Video In, No Out) chip, and the Indigo 2 has EISA slots mapped there, plus a second SCSI controller.
How different is the original Indigo?
IP20 (the R4k model)? Mostly, though it shares the memory controller ASIC (MC). IP12 (the R3k model)? Completely.
