Proper SGI Indy emulation exists? QEMU?
As far as weekends go, repeatedly spending 45 minutes installing IRIX 5.3 and IRIX 6.2 on an emulated SGI Indy at 10-20% speed in order to track down a CPU bug causing inst's kernel link to fail was not how I planned to spend mine, but I can think of worse ways to spend it.

Depends on how you define "proper". This is for MAME. The aim of QEMU has always been as more of a compatibility shim which focuses on emulating the CPU and trapping out the rest of the hardware. MAME aims to emulate the whole shebang.
