Hi, Twitter! Let's talk about surströmming: The Swedish "delicacy" which is often maligned by the Internet, and often listed towards the top of the world's most disgusting foods. First, full disclosure: I have not tried it, as I haven't yet had the opportunity. Would i? You bet.

It’s been a few years since I’ve had it so some details are lost to the fog of memory but I had it at a Midsummer party in Göteborg with colleagues. It wasn’t opened underwater b/c my Swedish friend wanted us to get the “full” experience. Opened the van outdoors at least.

The smell was the worst thing I’ve ever put up my nose before. That said, afterwards it was rinsed and served with buttered tunnbröd, sliced boiled potatoes, onions, dill, and we had beer and snaps alongside it.

You too, Simon! Hopefully the family will be able to tear you away from the Duplicator for some festivities.

That's a really interesting way how... it's meant to be eaten? I mean, I guess trying to eat it just straight from the can is like... extremely not good?
Kiitos. Käytämme tätä aikajanasi parantamiseen. KumoaKumoa
