You know you've found a rare and wonderful game company when you offer to work some overtime to make up for another person's minor planning oversight, and everyone acts like you just offered to kick a baby.

To clarify, since a couple people have said the above tweet can be read a few ways: What I mean is, was a minor planning snafu, I offered to work some overtime as a workaround, and the reaction was along the lines of "What? No! No. No, it's not right for you to work more OT."

It's great, isn't it? I have the opposite problem that I had at the major studios in the US. I'm stoked to be tapped to be the one dedicated UI coder at the company, and I know it's almost impossible for me to burn out doing what I love.

The Archive has had some moments like this and I really appreciate it. For example, telling everyone, clearly and directly, that if they need to take time off to vote, to just do it, no approval necessary. Or stepping in to Do The Right Thing when there's problems.
