This describes @ArrowheadGS to a T. The HR manager has openly said he sees no reason why people shouldn't be able to work remotely if that's what works. Core hours are limited to 4 a day, with the rest as flex. Any overtime gets comped off the end of the week.

Various employees work various amounts of hours fewer than 40, for various reasons. Employees who wish to move teams are free to do so, as long as the fundamental staffing needs can be met.
The office space is open, but company management are doing the best they can to install as many sound buffers as possible, and everyone is given a *nice* noise-cancelling headset.
