Of all the- ...Okay, I found a jungle biome just by starting at spawn and wandering northeast a few thousand blocks, well within the range those of us on the server had been exploring. Somehow, for weeks, everyone managed to wander past it, just outside the draw distance.
It's unbelievable how objectively terrible Minecraft 1.13.x is in terms of memory usage, though. *Two* players exploring new chunks over the course of 12 hours should not be enough to exhaust *8 gigs* of RAM to the point that the server crashes. It's like Mojang don't even care.
