Oh, that's a spider plant. They're pretty easy to take care of and are very cute. Regular watering, good drainage, and occasional fertilizer (once every couple months) should be fine.
Hmm, drainage? The "pot" that he's currently in is the cut-off bottom of a milk carton. What should he be able to drain into?

Ah, well, you could always just cut a little hole in the bottom of the carton, and put it on a small plate. If it fills with water, you know you're watering too much.
