All of this progress on emulating the early Sun SPARCstation series raises a question: Do any of you computer-preservation people have Sun SBus cards that you can either send for dumping, or desolder and dump the on-board ROM(s) yourself?
Essentially, (almost?) every Sun SBus card has a ROM on it in order to contain, at a minimum, an identifying word that the boot monitor reads to ID the card. More typically, they also include firmware and other data, much like many ISA cards do.
