@Noremacam So basically it's alright when the Koch brothers fork over millions of dollars to peoples' campaigns, but when people threaten to fork over a cool million to not-Susan-Collins, that - THAT - is a bribe. Got it.

It's not just campaigns, it's money tied to a specific vote. It's grey area.

That's the thing that Sen. Hatch and others are intentionally obfuscating, though: In neither case does Collins receive anything. She votes 'no', everyone gets their money back. She votes 'yes', whatever nonspecific person runs against her gets his or her campaign funded.
