I've a favor to ask, @NeuroRebel. I don't normally request RTs, but my mom has trouble understanding that voice chats (Skype, phone, etc.) really stress me out. I know she lurks on my Twitter account, so I'd like other #ActuallyAutistic people to chime in. Please?
My mom and I e-mail each other fairly regularly - but of course, she's my mom, and I can't blame her for wanting to hear the voice of her only child from time to time.

May be overly literal but maybe you could send her an occasional pre recorded voice message so she hears your voice w/o the stress of back and forth phone talk?

Before cell phones I used to like phoning and leaving voice messages when I knew the person was unlikely to be there to answer!!!
