I've a favor to ask, @NeuroRebel. I don't normally request RTs, but my mom has trouble understanding that voice chats (Skype, phone, etc.) really stress me out. I know she lurks on my Twitter account, so I'd like other #ActuallyAutistic people to chime in. Please?

Voice conversations can be very difficult! Would you be more comfortable with instant messenger?
Very much so! I find it far easier to communicate in text. The weird thing is that people keep telling me that I have a great voice for broadcasting/voiceover work, and I *do* love the chance to show it off, but the actual act of conversing is draining.
