@SpotifyCares I love Spotify, but I wonder: Joan Jett's "Bad Reputation" has gone in and out of availability every few weeks for the past year or so. I feel like there's some sordid, Emmy-winning legal drama going on with her label that you're not telling us. What's the story?

Oh, I know about all the boilerplate reasons as to why things would be unavailable. It's just that songs tend to divide neatly into two categories: The perpetually unavailable (James Gang's "Funk #48"), and the perpetually available (Spacehog's "In The Meantime").
Yet Joan Jett's discog seems to be in perpetual flux between "available" and "unavailable", and I'm legit curious as to what makes the legal wrangling behind the rights to a former 80's pop star's back catalogue (no offense, @JoanJett) so fractious.
