There is – 1st is bc we already do this on many surfaces on YT, we're just creating consistency. 2nd, we're hoping this will help address creator concerns about stress/wellbeing, specifically around tracking public sub counts in real time. More on this: https://yt.be/help/LF4J

If you don't want creators to be stressed about numbers, why even let them privately see the full sub count in the first place? For the record, if you think I'm suggesting removing that feature, that is far from the truth!
