These crises have developed o er decades. The moment “Moderates” lose the DA’s office they swarm on the prog to solve problems that “Moderates” have ignored and let fester for decades.

Progressives have held the DA’s office since at least Terence Hallinan, if not longer. Chesa is an even more extreme progressive in a long line of failed progressive DAs at

Kamala Harris ran to the right of Hallinan, and Gavin Newsom ran to the right of Matt Gonzalez and appointed Gascon to replace Harris. None of this really matters because it is you all who are way out of step with SF juries.

And whether Chesa likes it or not, that’s also his job. He’s not going to “solve the problems in Honduras” — the answer he gave on how to solve the drug crisis in the TL during the election.

Your quarrel is with your neighbors with whom your position is drastically out-of-step and who serve on juries. That is not going to change, no matter how you curse successive DAs who see the SFPD regularly checked by juries.

The constituents of San Francisco did understand and want the frugal use of the horrors of mass incarceration, that
@chesaboudin means. His benevolence being in line with our values is the reason he resonated so strongly with the SF population, and why we support@chesaboudin2 replies 0 retweets 3 likes -

He won over Loftus 35 to 31 percent and two other moderates got a combined 33 percent of the first choice votes. That’s hardly a ringing endorsement.

In a moment where the opponent is a incumbant endorsed and installed by the mayor, it's a stunning rebuke of her brutal authoritarian and oppressive criminal justice system.

Given the campaign resources made available to Any Member Of The City Family In Good Standing, Boudin's election was a stunning rebuke to the Mayor and a ratification of where the justice center of gravity is in SF. That it drives conservatives batty comes for free.

I am happy that the criminal Justice center is where it is, one of the most significant reasons why I choose to live here. So thankful that from the furies to the DA my values are represented.

Don’t get too comfortable. I can tell you there is an uprising coming from angry residents — even some who once considered themselves liberal. Let’s also not forget the biggest crimes have been committed by the leaders of this city, from Suhr to Nuru and Zuniga to Breed. #July4th

Nuru was indicted in Boudin's first month. Nuru was close to Breed, too close to Breed. Breed evaded allegations of untraceable giftcards. The FBI might very well bring a case for defrauding govt of honest svcs for the car repair (laundered money?) scam. Boudin's safe.
