I wouldn’t say it doesn’t improve anything. I see a whole lot of ’trends’ going on. Looks like they’re emulating YouTube’s recommendation model. That should improve their metrics and improve engagement for white supremacists.

I agree that there are weird UX patterns but I don't agree when you say it doesn't have redeeming qualities. You can also turn it off by switching back to the legacy version of Twitter.
