I'm worried the same will happen to Valorant teams after this #VCT

It would be good for the scene if there was a more expansive tournament circuit or even a league that the teams could participate in. Having so few teams from each region be the only ones to have something to play for and the rest left with heartache 3 times a year is not good.

Is this why 100T has not gone into dota? I am not big into the scene, been out of it since 2014 or so. Was a big fan back then, I know you would probably love to have a team in Dota being a former pro.

There’s a multitude of reasons, but sustainability is definitely a primary reason. Very little justification for especially US-based teams to devote resources to the title at present time.

TI is insanely hype, but it has always felt like if you're not finishing near the top of TI you're so fucked as a pro in the dota2 scene. Gotta be super tough for 99% of pros / aspiring pros to make a living I would think :(

2nd tier TI needed, maybe

I do think, franchise system is good for esport. It provides stability for the ecosystem. Dota keeps changing it's dpc every season

Franchising is a show, it's mostly focused on revenue, not competition. There's almost no punishment if one team is worse than another long-term

What is hard for me to get is... The team disbands, it comes another group with less experience, and then they start over... Look at the TI champions... They usually have years of DPC xp
