yeah I played it kinda straight for the Champion, Set mode, no items etc. Only one of my pokes that KO'ed more than one of his was my starter. Same time his final poke nearly 1 v 3ed my last 3 pokemon. But shit made it more hype than if i just played it normally
Real talk that's the best way to do it honestly it makes it feel so genuine

yeah. Legit the first E4 first runthrough where I wasn't above the champ in levels since like gen 5 and it was kinda nice.
