follow up on my last tweet; if you prefer pokemon showdown > actual pokemon games (USUM , ORAS , X&Y ) you're just bad at breeding , IV breeding , EV training and just bad at playing pokemon overall. Oops
The comparison to rob doesn't really make sense; i spent time learning him just like i spend time breeding the mons. I think more than anything it shows a lot of unsportmans like conduct when people just hack mons in which is probably at least 70% of the community

Yeah it’s all good. Pokémon is really cool because of the variety it provides. But I don’t like it when people look down on others for only taking certain aspects seriously. I can understand if you dislike people hacking but most rules just say Pokémon can’t have unnatural traits

The comparison to playing a good character in smash does make sense. Breeding your Pokémon doesn’t make you understand them better in battle. Practicing with them in battle makes you understand them better. Just like you practiced with rob

Another analogy could be someone who crafts wooden chess pieces. They love making them. And they can love using them in chess too. But many competitive players view the chess pieces as just objects or tools in the game. Many competitive players think of Pokémon as playing pieces
