The more I hear 's "Panopticom", the more I love it, especially now with the alternative 'dark side' version. Classic Gabriel; thought-provoking lyrics, a great groove and atmosphere, all superbly produced.

Discovering Peter's musical world was life-changing, and it became a soundtrack to life. I'd never seen such a perfect fusion of art and music, and it really spoke to me; it helped shape my own creative thinking and his album covers inspired my career choice in graphic design.

Thrilled to see Reeltime Pictures' Doctor On Display making its way around the sci-fi film festival circuit in the US. Furthermore, it recently WON two best documentary awards! It's an honour to be a small part of this exciting series 😎

...that said, the so-called Berlin period was well-represented with some superb bits of film. Also worth noting that his passing isn't directly touched on, which only added to the sense of creative celebration, because his work and music live on. #bowieforever

I would have liked to have see more latter-day footage (there's certainly enough) and while the choice of songs was refreshingly unpredictable, too much is always made of the Ziggy bloody Stardust and Let's Dance periods... there's so much more to David than those two phases...

Lots of previously unseen footage, including (presumably) the unreleased 1978 Earl's Court concert which looked unbelievably sharp and vivid. I can see why the Bowie estate granted access to the archive, as he produced something that I think David would have loved.

...the album could be viewed as both a science fiction concept piece (think Blade Runner and other such futuristic cities) or an observation on contemporary city life. For this release, the album has been remixed and many tracks have undergone modification.

As usual though, everything post-1990 was passed by in a flash (excluding out of situ Outside eta footage), which is a shame as some of his best work came out of that period, and there certainly is the material to represent it.

So good to have new music from Peter Gabriel after so long. And sounding great!

Panopticom references an idea that Peter has been working on to initiate the creation of an infinitely expandable accessible data globe. The aim is to "allow the world to see itself better and understand more of what’s really going on". lnk.to/PG21

One favourite track of mine on this album is the final track, Endless Days of Summer. This wasn't initially part of the project and was a late addition. It evolved out of a long jam session with my friend Peter Rophone (of local band Rophonic) on guitar.

My artwork for the Station Down cover went through very few evolutions, from the initial brief to finished piece. After refining the composition of the illustration, I looked at several options for the typography, with a modern, clean and clear look working the best. #coverart
