Just look at EPYC. The vast majority of the market doesn’t need a 2P+ option. You have to check that box for the sales sheet but if you’re smart, you’re looking beyond boring 2P boxes.

I don’t think that’s true. The trade-off between 1S and 2S is about scale, networking, expandability, and price. The price of 2S is low and it cuts networking costs in many cases.
