hi Hugo Awards! weird thing, it sounds like Hugo nominees got an email specifying a semi-formal dress code for the awards. is there some miscommunication? semi-formal attire gets p expensive and I know y'all don't intend to make things hard for those being honored.
Formal attire isn't required at the Hugo Awards ceremony -- you'll see lots of people in the audience in pretty casual wear -- but lots of people dress to impress. Have a look at the videos from previous Worldcons to get an idea of what you might expect.

Seriously? That sounds so stressful!! Dress codes can be really anxiety-inducing, especially for those of us who already find it super hard to shop because of sizing or other concerns.
