Why was everyone so eager to talk about the Toronto Van attack when it might have been a Muslim, but now that it's revealed as a hate crime by a misogynist targeting women, everyone is "over it"?

The reality is that the mainstream culture/society: - doesn't think misogyny is a big deal - so misogyny when acted upon isn't a big deal - men being violent towards women is too common, it isn't a rare sort of extreme violence that is easy for news media to sensationalize
-
Women's lives don't matter enough for our violent deaths by violent men to get the same back-to-back, constant news cycle coverage other violent crimes or hate crimes get.
