From what people are saying I feel like this change is making people interact with the AH less, not more D:

Only once they notice they have a lot less gold than expected. We saw the notes & discussed the issue. And noticed the higher deposit costs. Want to bet a good proportion of players have done either?

oh, guaranteed less have done it - but that's more to the point of them not fixing the problem they claimed to be trying to fix.. instead they're penalizing the active goldmakers..

I feel this was a bad case of “We must do something!” “This is something!” “Let’s do it!!!” Without really thinking things through. See it all the damn time at work & is a major cause of technical debt + unintended consequences

The kicker here is they can then sit back & go “fixed that, what’s the next shiny thing?” .... often ignoring the large dumpster fire of problems they just left for someone else to deal with This image has been used a scary number of times in work email!pic.twitter.com/Hs8UOCl85O

the other thing isbthst the masses see this as a good thing. They see o, they took care of the evil 1 stack listers but don't see the underlining issue of listing fees. Its putting a bow on the mule and saying hey, here is your new race horse

yep.. and I've already seen tweets from people saying "oh, it's much more responsive now!" so it *looks* like it works.. but.. 1) the economy is taking a hit.. 2) the casual is getting dinged for listing fees they don't understand 3) average players can't sell their stuff

I'm considering writing an article about it. Who else's opinion should I seek?

Some of that is not really understanding why gold makers are important overall. Avg players ask all the time how to make gold or I can't make gold. But if there is an item they want 'why is it so much gooooold'
