SHORT STORY TIME Many moons ago when I was just first venturing into the WoW artscene, I stumbled upon one of the cutest little comics I have ever seen. The story was about a young night elf and orc who, despite race barriers, became the best of friends.

Before reading this comic, I had gotten it stuck in my head that art posted online had to be digital, as that was the vast majority of what I was finding. This was around the time that I was first experimenting with watercolor, but I was too afraid to post because of the medium.

But now I was empowered. If this amazing comic illustrator could post her stuff online and have people view it, maybe I could too! She creates such beautiful pieces with colored pencils, maybe I could be like her but with watercolors!

Thus began a long, long journey that's led me to the artist I am today. Years of practice and painting, critiques and art communities. I've undoubtedly been shaped by hundreds, if not thousands of artist over the years, and for that, I am deeply grateful.

However, I realized, I don't think I've ever given the thanks to the first inspiration that is due. I've continued reading her comic to this day, continued silently supporting the artist that influenced me so much, but I need to do something more....
